Brandmint Wins Big at the 2024 AMA Pinnacle Awards

On June 20, the Brandmint Team attended the 2024 AMA (American Marketing Association) Pinnacle Awards at Comedy @ The Carlson in Rochester. This event celebrates marketing excellence by recognizing local marketers for their strategic programs, creative tactics, and outstanding results.

2024 Pinnacle Awards
1. Best Campaign Rejected by Client (For Profit)
Illumination Awards | Oswego County Federal Credit Union
Oswego County Federal Credit Union (OCFCU) aimed to recognize and celebrate student contributions to their communities while engaging a younger demographic of potential credit union members. Brandmint proposed the Illumination Awards concept to OCFCU, highlighting its appeal to youth and its role in honoring local community involvement.
The initiative included developing the awards' name, brand identity, outreach materials, nomination forms, and press releases. Despite initial enthusiastic support and plans for branch involvement, the project has been indefinitely postponed due to time and resource constraints.
2. Blog (For Profit)
Best Tire Brands Digital Marketing Blog | Hooper’s Tire Outlet
Hooper’s Tire Outlet sought to enhance its website's SEO to reach potential customers and improve search result rankings. The strategy involved creating content specific to Hooper’s and the local area, with a focus on high-ranking search engine results through roundup lists about tire brands and common queries.
This approach boosted keyword authority and sustained traffic growth. Its top blog for 2023, "Best Tire Brands," garnered over 1.6 million impressions. Key results include:

1,689,834 organic impressions
a 6.72% click-through rate
An average search position of 9.67.
The site also saw 105,994 users, 72,408 engaged sessions, a 63.15% engagement rate, and 457,060 event counts with an average engagement time of 35 seconds.
3. Campaign Creative: Graphic Design (Not-For-Profit)
H2O Hero Initiative | H2O Hero Initiative
H2O Hero sought to focus on reducing plastic pollution and safeguarding waterways. The campaign used playful animations and recognizable local photos (Ontario Beach and The Port of Rochester) to capture attention and boost engagement.
The strategic use of the brand's color scheme and logos helped reinforce the message. The campaign achieved 26,041 link clicks, reached 42,817 people, garnered 734,184 impressions, and had a CPC of $0.22.
4. Green Marketing Award (For Profit)
World Bee Day | Cayuga Lake National Bank
Cayuga Lake National Bank (CLNB partnered with Brandmint to host its inaugural World Bee Day celebration on May 20, 2023. This event aimed to raise awareness about pollinators' crucial role in sustainable development, fittingly honoring CLNB's beloved bee mascot, 'Busy.'
Collaborating with Cornell Cooperative Extension of Cayuga County, CLNB provided family-friendly activities and educational resources from local beekeeping groups and vendors. Brandmint managed event logistics, created promotional materials, and secured local media coverage, resulting in a successful event and reinforcing CLNB's community presence and commitment to environmental education.
5. Influencer Marketing (Not-For-Profit)
PRI Darwin Days | The History Guy
The Paleontological Research Institution (PRI) celebrated Darwin Day, an international celebration of Charles Darwin's birthday, by partnering with Brandmint to increase event awareness and participation.
They collaborated with The History Guy, a popular YouTuber, to produce a video titled "Almost Not History: Darwin and HMS Beagle," which premiered on February 10, 2023, and has since garnered over 53,000 views. The video featured a shoutout to PRI and a link to its website, boosting PRI's visibility and outreach.
6. Organic Social Campaign (For Profit)
Women in Leadership | Ongweoweh Corp.
Ongweoweh Corp. and Brandmint launched a Women in Leadership campaign throughout March to celebrate Women’s History Month and highlight Ongweoweh’s many female leaders.
The campaign featured profiles of seven women, showcasing their personal and professional backgrounds while expressing appreciation for their leadership at Ongweoweh. The initiative successfully boosted office morale with an increase in positivity among the women involved.
7. Special Event (For Profit)
Bee You Awards | Cayuga Lake National Bank
Cayuga Lake National Bank sought to engage a younger audience while celebrating youth contributions to their communities in 2023. Partnering with Brandmint, they launched the Bee You Awards initiative to recognize students from local schools for leadership and community service.
Brandmint developed a strategic plan focusing on connecting with potential young customers and highlighting community involvement.
Brandmint created a cohesive brand identity for the awards, organized the ceremony at Wells College, managed event logistics and marketing, and secured media coverage. The initiative successfully honored 54 students, strengthening the bank's community ties and leaving a lasting impact.
