Responsibilities

Primary

  1. Ideation

    1. Collaborate on brainstorming and concept development for campaigns, ensuring innovative and impactful solutions that align with client goals and objectives.

    2. Research.

    3. Leverage the strategic plan in place for each client you serve.

    4. Monitor trends, current events, and industry developments to shape messaging strategies and identify media opportunities such as anniversaries, rebrands, new hires, product launches, and events.

  2. Social Media Management

    1. Create and maintain editorial calendars to schedule content.

    2. Write copy for all social media posts.

    3. Coordinate content production with other team members and departments to meet deadlines.

    4. Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner.

  3. Email Newsletters

    1. Design, write, and schedule compelling email newsletters to engage and inform our clients’ audience.

    2. Analyze email performance metrics and optimize future campaigns based on insights.

  4. Article & Blog

    1. Create blog outlines to identify important information prior to writing articles/blogs (such as URL, title, meta description, excerpt, and keywords).

    2. Write clients’ articles/blogs.

Secondary

  1. Community Engagement:

    1. Develop and share content calendars and digital engagement strategies.

    2. Identify, present, and coordinate potential sponsorships and charitable initiatives.

    3. Identify awards, and provide support throughout the process.

    4. Build and nurture strategic partnerships.

  2. Media Relations:

    1. Develop, manage, and update media lists segmented by client.

    2. Manage responses to media inquiries and prepare spokespeople for interviews.

    3. Craft, distribute, and follow up on press releases, media pitches.

    4. Develop and nurture relationships with media, reporters, and industry contacts.

    5. Monitor media coverage and public sentiment using media monitoring tools.

    6. Analyze the success of PR campaigns and provide regular performance reports.

  3. Misc.

    1. Draft speeches, statements, internal/external communications and articles for clients.

    2. Create content for newsletters, blogs, websites, and social media platforms.

    3. Oversee the production of promotional materials, videos, and other content.

    4. Prepare quarterly and annual reports, ensuring accuracy, and actionable insights.

    5. Ensure that all content meets high-quality standards, including grammar, spelling, and adherence to brand guidelines.

    6. Stay current with industry best practices, content marketing tools, and emerging trends to improve skills and strategies.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of marketing experience.

  • Available to work in our Rochester or Ithaca office.

  • Strong copywriting and communication skills.

  • Effectively communicate brand messages to diverse audiences.

  • Self-starter and able to independently move projects forward, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

  • Strong organizational and critical thinking skills.

  • Creative mindset with the ability to think strategically.

Pay Range

$40,000 - $45,000
